Terri D. Schnoering

Director Information Systems Applications Support, UF Health Jacksonville

Terri Schnoering received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 03/29/24. We’ve not had the pleasure of working with her but have heard from the Director of the Jacksonville Office of Physician Billing Compliance, that Terri has been very supportive of their office. Terri has contacted them to report issues brought to her attention, has made them aware of new projects that have a regulatory component to them, and overall has demonstrated ethical integrity by ensuring that information system applications are developed within a compliant framework. We’re proud to have her as a member of the greater UF compliance and ethics team!  Thank you for all you do.

Brandon Telg

Instructional Designer

Brandon Telg received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 1/29/2024. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Brandon over the last few months on our compliance training project. His commitment to helping us streamline compliance trainings across the university has made a huge impact on our project. We especially appreciate his expertise and wonderful creative skills in developing more interactive and attractive training opportunities. We’re proud to have Brandon as a member of the greater UF compliance and ethics team! Thank you for all you do.

John Beuttenmuller

FFSP Executive Director

John Beuttenmuller received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 10/5/2023. Over the last several years, the UFCE Team has enjoyed working with John on the foreign gifts and contracts report.  John always helps think through complex issues, is prompt in his reporting, and does everything he can to ensure an accurate and timely report.  John is a valuable member of the greater UF compliance team, and we are fortunate to work him.

Jonathan Orsini

Associate Director, Self-funded Programs

Jonathan Orsini received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 10/6/2023. The UFCE Team really appreciated his tremendous work and help in figuring out how broadly the Third-Party Servicers Guidance from the Department of Education could have impacted the university before the federal government rescinded it.  Jonathan is  always there and willing to jump in any time we ask and we’re proud to have him as a member of the greater UF compliance and ethics team! Stacy Beck

Compliance Analyst - Export Control

Stacy Beck received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 7/6/23.  She was nominated by a colleague who shared the following with us: “Stacy is amazingly responsive; always quick to reply and follow-up.  She understands the practicalities and the legal requirements of transfers in and out of the USA.  She gets to the point without making compliance a burden, which our researchers really appreciate.  She has helped me with drafting terms for MTAs and explains her reasoning so we can work together to find solutions.” Stacy is a valuable member of the greater UF compliance team!

Lisa Stroud

Associate Director, Division of Sponsored Programs

Lisa Stroud received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 4/12/23.  Lisa's assistance with the foreign gifts and contracts report is nothing short of amazing. During the reporting periods, she works closely with our team, working around the clock to complete the reports, and always going above and beyond in her responsiveness and commitment to the UF Compliance and Ethics Program. Lisa is a valuable member of the greater UF compliance team, and we are fortunate to work with her.

Lynn Musselman

Senior Compliance Specialist, UF Health Jacksonville

Lynn Musselman received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 4/12/23.  Lynn worked closely with several members of our team on various topics such as the foreign gifts and contracts report and youth compliance at UF Health Jax. Throughout all these interactions, she has gone above and beyond in her responsiveness and commitment to the UF Compliance and Ethics Program.  Lynn is a valuable member of the greater UF compliance team and we really appreciate all her support!

Michelle December

RecSports Associate Director For Aquatics And Risk Management

Michelle December received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 1/31/23. She is a member of the Youth Safety Committee and advocate for youth compliance, which is a critical part of the university’s commitment to compliance with child safety laws and best practice standards. She has gone above and beyond in her responsiveness and dedication to promoting youth compliance throughout RecSports. Michelle is a a valuable member of the greater UF compliance team.

Dorothy Etienne

Accountant IV, University Bursar

Dorothy Etienne received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on 10/4/22. Through our superstar program, we recognize UF faculty and staff who have demonstrated a commitment to compliance, living UF’s Core Values, and acting with integrity in all that they do. The UFCE Team has worked closely with Dorothy in producing the biannual foreign gifts and contracts report, which is a critical part of the university’s commitment to compliance with federal and state laws. Throughout that process, Dorothy has gone above and beyond in her responsiveness and dedication to producing an accurate, timely report.  In spite of how burdensome this report can be, Dorothy has always maintained a “can do” attitude, addressed issues when they arose, and offered solutions to make the process more efficient.

Michelle Leonard

Assistant Director, Education & Training Programs, UF Research

Michelle Leonard received the Compliance and Ethics Superstar Award on  8/1/22. Michelle was instrumental in developing and administering the annual Research Integrity Summer Seminar Series.  The Series, designed by Michelle and taught by staff from across campus, covered a variety of topics on research integrity and responsible conduct of research. In its second year, the summer series hosted almost 400 faculty, staff, students and extension agents and was a great success. Additionally, in September, Michelle and a team of UF colleagues received an $100,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office of Research Integrity for their proposal, "Developing a Culture of Research Integrity." Michelle is a passionate advocate for the responsible conduct of research and research ethics and has been an amazing partner to UF Research Integrity and UF Compliance and Ethics. She is being recognized for her creativity, quality of her work, and her commitment to excellence with integrity.
