Program Mission and Purpose

The Mission of UF Compliance and Ethics is to protect and promote the institutional integrity of the University of Florida and serve as a resource to all employees in matters of ethical conduct and compliance with the law. UF Compliance and Ethics fosters a culture that embeds the importance of compliant conduct in all university functions and reflects the University’s Core Values.

UF Compliance and Ethics provides oversight, coordination and guidance on enterprise-wide compliance activities through the development of effective policies and procedures, education and training, monitoring, communication, enforcement of standards, compliance risk assessment, and responding to reported issues. 

 

 

 

 

Goals

  • Establish a culture of compliance and ethics in which compliance partners are dedicated and leveraged. 
  • Serve as a resource for the campus community to obtain compliance assistance and report concerns.
  • Ensure institutional policies and procedures are transparent, integrated with compliance, and available to University of Florida community members.
  • Increase understanding of compliance and ethics issues by providing education, outreach and enterprise-wide engagement.
  • Foster strong stewardship and management accountability at all levels with the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
  • Improve the University's coordination, dissemination, and communication of compliance information, and identify and resolve gaps in compliance.
  • Assist the university with compliance-related processes, identifying emerging compliance trends, providing compliance support activities, and recognizing and effectively mitigating areas of compliance risk.
